I really do hate needles, but know for
many people, receiving a blood donation is the difference between living and
dying. According to SANBS less than 1% of South Africans are active blood
donors. A unit of blood only lasts 42 days after donation and, for this
reason, it is important for blood donors to donate regularly. Through this post
I hope to inspire others to donate blood. When one donates blood, they are
being valuable, caring and useful, as well as being of help to others who are
otherwise incapable to help themselves. Having a Bucket List is fun but it is
pointless if we are not giving back. Giving has been proven to
increase happiness, teach you about gratitude and open up you up to possibilities.
So go and make an effort and go and donate blood!
